The journal emphasizes studies that contribute to improving population health, delivering effective and high-quality health services, strengthening health systems, and enhancing the quality and performance of health services.

The scope of JPHHS includes, but is not limited to:

Covers health promotion, health education and communication, health literacy, behavior change, community empowerment, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of community-based health interventions.

Covers population- and community-based health issues, determinants of health, disease prevention, health disparities, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs.

3. Maternal, Child, Adolescent, and Reproductive Health

Covers maternal and neonatal health, child health, adolescent health, reproductive health, family planning, and community-based health interventions targeting mothers, children, adolescents, and populations of reproductive age.
